Hit-Run Suspect At Large: Man Hospitalized After Being Struck In Northern Westchester Police are currently searching for the suspect in a hit-run that left a pedestrian hospitalized in Northern Westchester.  The incident happened on Monday, June 12 around 10 p.m., when a 79-year-old man was hit by a car in the area of the 1000 block of Howard Street in Peekskill, according to Peekskill Police Lt. Adam Renwick.  The vehicle then drove away from the scene before authorities arrived, Renwick said.  The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment following the incident.  The hit-run is now being investigated by Peekskill Police.  This…

20-Year-Old From Northern Westchester Sentenced For Fatally Stabbing Teen A man will spend decades in prison after fatally stabbing a teenager in Northern Westchester and proceeding to attack a fellow detainee while in jail. Jahliv Niles, age 20, of Peekskill, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, followed by five years of post-release supervision for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Omarion McKenzie.  He was also sentenced to two years in prison with three years post-release supervision for attacking a fellow detainee at Westchester County Jail in Valhalla. On Friday, March 27, at approximately 11:25 a.m., Peekskill Police and EMS responded to 214 N. Broad for a report of a male stabbed at that location.   Upon arrival, officers and EMS discovered a 17-year-old boy lying in the vestibule of 214 N.
