Route 1 Lane Closure Scheduled In Westchester There will be a lane closure on a stretch of Route 1 for several hours as contractors perform highway work activities in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert cautioning that there will be lane closures in both directions in Port Chester between Read Street and Putnam Avenue between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16. During the scope of the project, motorists in the area can expect delays and have been advised to seek alternate routes, when possible.
