19: These Are Among Large NYC Events Canceled Through End Of September
Large events such as parades and festivals that have become staples in New York City will not be permitted due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic into the fall. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that any large events that require a permit have been canceled through at least Wednesday, Sept. 30, as the city recovers from the COVID-19 outbreak. Days-Long Road Closure Underway In Northern Westchester
Italian culture will be at the forefront in Yorktown as officials prepare for the popular annual Yorktown Feast of San Gennaro, leading to road closures in the area. Yorktown Police Chief Robert Noble announced that from 7 a.m. through noon beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 12, Commerce Street will be closed until Monday, Sept. 17. During the festivities, there will be no vehicular traffic between Downing Drive and Kear Street.
