School Locks Down After Man Shouts Obscenities At Student In Westchester
An elementary school in Westchester briefly enacted emergency procedures after a man shouted obscenities at a young student outside of the building, police said. The incident happened on Thursday, June 22 just before 1 p.m., when Greenburgh Police responded to the Seely Place School at 51 Seely Pl. on a report of a man shouting obscenities and making an obscene gesture to a child standing just outside of the building. Lockdown Accidentally Initiated At John Jay High School
A lockdown was accidentally initiated at John Jay High School in Cross River on Thursday. "It appears at this time the emergency procedure was accidentally initiated by a staff member," state police said. "The school resource officer and state police responded to the emergency call, and quickly determined there was no threat to the safety of any member of the student body, staff, or community."

Tarrytown Public Schools On Lockout After Teacher Gets Threatening Email
All schools in the Tarrytown Public School District are on lockout after a teacher received a threatening email, according to the school district. Superintendent Christopher Borsari said the decision for the lockdown was made Monday morning after a Sleepy Hollow High School teacher received a threatening email message.
