Hastings-on-Hudson resident Johnny David Machado, age 28, was sentenced to one year in jail for his role in the 2019 crash that left the lifelong Westchester resident dead. Machado pleaded guilty last November to felony counts of leaving the scene of an accident without reporting and criminally negligent homicide for the fatal crash that took the life of Rocco DePaolo in Dobbs Ferry in September 2019. …

Man Attempts To Gain Entry Into High School In Westchester, Report Says A 60-year-old man allegedly attempted to get onto the campus of a Westchester high school before school security turned him away. The incident took place on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Dobbs Ferry High School, when the man attempted to come on campus saying he was looking for a job for his son, said Elizabeth Hausman, spokeswoman for the school.  Security recognized quickly that something was not right and denied him access to the school, she added.
