Major Storm System Expected To Bring Strong Winds, New Round Of Rain To Region
A significant storm on track for the Northeast is expected to bring potentially damaging gusts and a new round of rainfall in the middle of the workweek. The system will move in from the Midwest on Wednesday, Nov. 30. It's the same storm that could cause a "possible severe weather outbreak in the Southeast, as well as a swath of snow across the Plains and Upper Midwest," according to AccuWeather.com. Separate Rounds Of Snowfall Will Be Followed By Potentially More Significant Storm
The start of December is just a day away, but it felt like it came much earlier with persistent cold and scattered snowfall at times in much of the region. It's now November, but the arrival of a cold front will make it feel more like it's December, and will bring with it strong wind gusts of up to 55 miles per hour that could cause power outages. There will be a chance of showers on Sunday, Nov. 1, with rain becoming more likely and widespread in the evening as the cold front approaches. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and warmer, with a high temperature in the mid 50s.
