Hudson Valley Man Sentenced For Sexually Abusing Child
A Hudson Valley man was sentenced to prison for sexually abusing an area girl for sexual years beginning when she was 7 years old. Rockland County resident Sherman Brody, age 46, of Haverstraw, was sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 1, to 14 years in state prison, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh II. Brody was also sentenced to 10 years post-release supervision after pleading guilty to one count of course of sexual conduct against a child, the DA said. Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Child, Rape Charge In Area
A multi-agency law enforcement investigation led to the apprehension of a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a child and was wanted for a separate rape charge in Rockland County. The Ramapo Police Department announced on Friday that earlier this week, with the help of members of the Spring Valley Police Department, investigators arrested Roberto Ventura De La Rosa, who is charged with multiple sexual offenses. 31-Year-Old Man Charged In Rape Of 11-Year-Old Girl
A 31-year-old area man has been charged with the rape of an 11-year-old girl more than two times. Hector A. Chacon-Diaz of Central Nyack was arrested Thursday by the Clarkstown Police Department for the rape of the young girl who is a relative, said Det. Peter Walker, spokesman for the police department. The alleged incidents took place between 2015 and 2018, Walker said. Chacon-Diaz was charged with felony predatory sexual assault against a child and felony course of sexual conduct against a child, he added.
