House Fire Breaks Out At Building In Northern Westchester Volunteers with the Peekskill Ambulance Corps helped with two Westchester County fires over the past week, including one at an abandoned house.The fire, at 928 Second St., in Peekskill, broke out about 5 a.m. Thursday, officials said. About 40 firefighters responded to the scene, which kept the ambulance corps busy provided cold water to keep them hydrated, said the ambulance corps on Facebook. Three Serious Crashes Occur In Peekskill In 24-Hour Span While most of the country was spending Memorial Day Weekend celebrating the holiday, first responders in Peekskill were busy, responding to several serious accidents in a 24-hour span. Members of the Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and Cortlandt-Peekskill Regional Paramedics and Peekskill Fire Department were dispatched to Welcher Avenue at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 25, where there was a report of a rollover crash.
