'Tragic Loss': Newlywed Officer Killed In NY Salon Crash Remembered For 'Bravery, Compassion'
Tributes are pouring in for a beloved NYPD officer who was killed alongside three others in an alleged drunk driving crash at a New York nail salon. Emilia Rennhack was off duty and getting her nails done when an SUV came barreling through the front window of Long Island’s Hawaii Nail & Spa, located in Deer Park on Commack Road, on Friday afternoon, June 28. Rennhack was pronounced dead at the scene alongside the salon’s owner, Jiancai Chen, age 37, of Bayside, Queens, according to Suffolk County Police. Intersection Next To Elementary School In Westchester Reopens After Crash
This story has been updated. A busy intersection next to a Westchester elementary school has reopened after a crash. The intersection of Harrison Avenue (Route 127) and Union Avenue next to the Harrison Avenue Elementary School is now open after it was briefly closed following a crash on Friday afternoon, June 21, Harrison Police announced. The crash resulted in downed power lines at the intersection, the department added. The closure caused delays during school pick-up.

A one-car crash in front of a Hudson Valley home left the residence's fencing and mailbox heavily damaged. The incident happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Feb. 4 in the area of Bucks Hollow Road in Mahopac, where a car crashed into around 25 feet of fencing and a 4-foot tall stone and concrete pillar holding a residence's mailbox, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. A driver had to be located by authorities after running from the scene of a crash on a busy route in Northern Westchester, fire officials said. The crash happened on Thursday, Jan. 18 around 10:30 p.m., when two vehicles collided on northbound Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson near Croton Point Avenue, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Friends and family members are remembering a 17-year-old teen killed in a double-fatal crash as loving sports and his family. Jack J.
