In Virginia, the Arlington County Police Department's Special Victims Unit is investigating Rockland County native George Porcha, age 53, originally from Spring Valley and now of Winterville, North Carolina, after he was charged for multiple sexually-based offenses dating back to allegations made in 2022. Carolyn Anne Beal, of Barrington, Rhode Island, died peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from cancer and its complications, according to her obituary. She grew up in Valhalla with her brothers David and Robert and graduated from Westlake High School. Her parents were Robert and Barbara Kirk.
