Officials are one step closer to installing two red light cameras at busy Westchester intersections following a hit-run that left a beloved community leader dead. Third Bear Sighting Of The Week Reported In Westchester
For the third time this week, a black bear was seen taking in the sights of Westchester. A black bear was spotted at the Boulder Ridge condominiums in Greenburgh off Jackson Avenue, Sprain Road, and Ardsley Road, on Thursday, June 11, Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said. Crash Causes Days-Long Verizon Outage In Greenburgh
Verizon customers in Westchester were left without phone, Internet and cable after a driver crashed into a pole in Greenburgh, impacting Edgemont residents. Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said that he spoke with a “high-ranking official” from Verizon, who said that the outages that many Edgemont residents reported was caused by “a vehicle accident that happened (on Sunday, Sept. 1).” The crash, reportedly by a drunk driver, left Verizon customers in the area without power for days, and also forced a temporary road closure on Ardsley Road near Scarsdale Ford on Sunday night. “Befor…
