Fire Closes Popular Northern Westchester Restaurant A popular Northern Westchester restaurant known for its wings, burgers and ribs and for being a great place for families to have a dinner out is closed due to a kitchen fire. The fire took place in Northern Westchester County on Saturday, April 8 at the New York Firehouse Grille at 63 Welcher Ave., in Peekskill. Although no one was injured, the entire kitchen was destroyed.  The owners said on Facebook the restaurant will be closed while they deal with insurance and rebuild the kitchen.
