Public Safety Department To Hold Active Shooter Training For County Residents In Mount Kisco The Westchester County Department of Public Safety has scheduled an active shooter training seminar for county residents. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course was built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) in 2004. As a whole, the course is designed to provide strategies and proven techniques for surviving an active shooter event.
