Stolen Mail Dispute, Attempted Car Larcenies Top Mount Kisco Police Blotter

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - Westchester County Police are investigating a domestic incident involving neighbors complaining about allegedly stolen mail.

A Spring Street resident contacted police on Thursday afternoon to report that she was being unfairly accused of stealing mail from a fellow tenant.

According to police, the woman said that the other tenant has been calling her repeatedly and she wants the calls to cease. An investigation is currently ongoing.

Other items on the Mount Kisco Police Department blotter from Tuesday, Aug. 8 through Friday, Aug. 11 include:

  • That same day, police documented an incident on Stewart Place, where a woman alleged that another resident of her building drove past her and yelled obscenities toward her. The incident was documented by police and the issue is currently being pursued by building management in Mount Kisco.
  • A Mount Kisco resident reported to police that she had been scammed out of more than $2,500 in a check fraud scheme. The matter has since been turned over to detectives for investigation.
  • Shortly before midnight on Tuesday, Aug. 8, police were alerted to a suspicious man who was reportedly walking along Carpenter Avenue and pulling on door handles to see if any were unlocked. Westchester County Police responded to the area and conducted a canvas of the neighborhood, but were unable to locate a suspect.
