The car’s owner told authorities that he had left it in a parking lot on the village’s Main Street on Friday, March 10, because he had been drinking and didn’t want to drive.
When he returned two days later, it was gone.
Police were able to trace the stolen vehicle to a funeral home, where it was found undamaged.
Meanwhile, Westchester County Police were told by a Mount Kisco resident on Friday, March 17, that someone in Brooklyn had stolen $1,170 from his bank account. The bank had issued a fraud alert to the victim. The case was turned over to detectives.
On Wednesday, March 15, An auto dealership on Kisco Avenue reported the theft of $6,200 in cash. The money had placed in its safe the night before. The case was turned over to detectives.
Other recent police blotter items included: a parking lot fender bender, public urination, a tenant-landlord dispute, and a report that a plow driver was leaving snow in the middle of a road.
