Joseph Franco, 42, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 3, after turning himself in to police on charges of assault, aggravated criminal contempt and criminal mischief, said the Yorktown Police.
According to police, on Wednesday, Oct. 2, Yorktown police responded to a home to investigate a report of domestic abuse, police said.
Once at the home, officers learned from the victim that Franco was allegedly at the residence from 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30, through 8:17 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, in violation of a protective order.
While at the home, Franco allegedly damaged the victim's property, hit the victim in the arms and legs, causing pain and bruising, as well as threatening to kill the victim, police said.
He is being held at the Westchester County Jail on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Oct. 17.
