Westchester's Shalyn Courtenay Serves As Co-Host For NWH Speaker Series

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Shalyn Courtenay, a Goldens Bridge resident, will serve as a co-host for Northern Westchester Hospital's speaker series on The ABC’s of Allergies, Lyme and Other Tick Borne Diseases on Wednesday, April 22.

Passionate about making a difference for others, Courtenay was instrumental in the creation of Cambium Cares, the philanthropic arm of the Cambium Group, the financial services firm where she is an advisor.

This past year, she focused her team’s efforts on raising funds for the FARE Walk for Food Allergy, the leading non-profit organization working on behalf of those suffering with food allergies.

Classically trained, she began her career as a professional opera singer and transitioned into Financial Services in 2003. Courtenay loves the arts and travel. She is active in her synagogue community, and has served as a Cantorial Soloist at Temple Shaaray Tefila since 2001.

Courtenay was thrilled to co-host this month’s seminar at Northern Westchester Hospital because her son struggles with a very serious egg and shellfish allergy, but also because she is so impressed with the good work the hospital does for the community.

Courtenay lives in Goldens Bridge with her husband, Buddy and two children Hadley and Asher.
