MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- President Barack Obama's visit to Westchester has been a major news story for local media outlets. However, the trip to the area has led to traffic ties ups, Daily Voice reported.

The visit also comes as the Labor Day weekend starts.

Cathy Deutsch, a South Salem resident who owns the Mount Kisco shop Tiger Lily, does not have a problem with the holiday timing of Obama's visit, calling it a "non-issue."

Francis Sheridan, a Carmel resident who commuted to an orientation day for a massage-therapy school, said he was not affected, noting that he took Metro-North. Sheridan recalled hearing about the traffic impact. Some of the students complained about the visit, according to Sheridan, who said that about half were affected.

Obama came to Westchester on Friday, Aug. 29, for fundraisers and will return on Saturday to attend a wedding in Pocantico Hills, Daily Voice previously reported.
