Chappaqua Residents In Paris Give Accounts Of Terror Attacks

A Chappaqua couple vacationing in Paris has given a first-hand account of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Meryl and Jason Lefkowitz, in Paris to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. and on the way to a cafe late Friday night, heard sirens but thought little of it until friends and family from home texted to check on them, according to lohud.com.

The couple noted that the streets were eerily empty. They were able to depart for London via train Saturday morning.

Former Chappaqua resident Max Browde, 16, was at a party and noticed on TV that the crowd at the soccer match between France and Germany looked scared, according to lohud.
