MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. — Here are some of the events going on in Mount Kisco this weekend:

Friday, April 27

Sen. Greg Ball hearing on disabled veterans: 9 to 11 a.m. State Sen. Greg Ball will hold a hearing with the Standing Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs on the topic of disabled veterans. Mount Kisco Public Library, 100 E. Main St., Mount Kisco.

MKESA Parents Night Out: 8 to 11 p.m. The Mount Kisco Elementary School Association invites you to Parents Night Out, a fundraiser and a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the school. The evening will include hors d’ouevres and drinks, a silent auction and a raffle. Cost is $50 and all proceeds benefit student programs. Saturday, April 28

Mount Kisco Arbor Day Celebration: 11 a.m. A tree-planting ceremony in celebration of Arbor Day will be held at Roosevelt Park at Lexington and Gatto Drive, Mount Kisco.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day drive: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Locals are invited to come drop off their old prescription drugs and get rid of unwanted and expired medications safely. This event is sponsored by the Mount Kisco Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Council. Mount Kisco Police Station, 40 Green St., Mount Kisco.

The Cast of Beatlemania!: 7:30 p.m. The Community Education Foundation and Friends of Music & the Arts are sponsoring a concert fundraiser at Fox Lane High School in support of Bedford schools. The renowned former Broadway cast members of "Beatlemania" will be performing their acclaimed show. For ticket information, go to www.foxlanebeatlemania.com. Tickets are $40. Picnic for the Planet at Arthur Butler Sanctuary: 11 a.m. This is the rain date for an Earth Day event rescheduled from last Sunday. Bring your own green picnic, enjoy a performance by 8 Foot River, garden with the Nature Conservancy staff and take part in a family-friendly nature treasure hunt. Westmoreland Sanctuary, 265 Chestnut Ridge Road, Mount Kisco.

Westmoreland Orienteering Meet: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participate in one of three orienteering courses (easy to challenging), get instruction and training, enjoy refreshments and receive your own waterproof map cover. Hands-on instruction will be given by West Point Cadets and Hudson Valley Orienteering experts. Fees range from $15 to $25 for individuals and families. Call 914-666-8448 for more information.
