According to Dr. Peter Richel,Chief of Pediatrics at Northern Westchester Hospital, applying high-blocking SPF and drinking plenty of water are important to avoid sunburn and dehydration.

Ticks are also one of the most dangerous parts of summer, but often overlooked or forgotten. A simple pair of high socks can mean the difference between being bit or not, he cautions.
