New Canaan's Teddy Berg, 90, Was Known For Her Gardens Theodora (Teddy) Banning Gibson Berg passed away in her sleep on Monday, Aug. 14th at her home in New Canaan, surrounded by her loving children and her two adored cats, Whitey and Tabby.  After a long battle with kidney disease, Teddy eventually died of complications while receiving hospice care in her home for the last nine months. Teddy was born on July 7, 1933 in Mount Vernon, NY to John Peck Banning and Irene Finer Banning. White Plains Native Audrey Harlow, Taught In Yorktown Central School District For 48 Years, 85 Audrey Rose Harlow died on Oct. 12; she was 85. She was born and raised in White Plains, the daughter of Arthur Rose of New York City and Julia Keeler Rose of South Salem. She attended White Plains schools until 1949 when the family moved to Elmsford. There, Audrey graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in June 1951. Audrey earned both her BS and MS degrees from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
