A new Netflix show, "The Watcher," was filmed in Westchester County despite its storyline taking place in New Jersey, the CTInsider reports.
The show, which was released on Thursday, Oct. 13, is based on a real-life family that began receiving threatening letters from an unknown person after moving to their dream home, according to the CTInsider.

Now, the Westchester County educator and musician’s loved ones must rely on the many video recordings of her performances if they hope to again experience her bright, angelic singing voice.
Molloy, of Rye, died at home Monday, Aug. 1, at the age of 62 following a “long and courageous battle with lung cancer,” according to her obituary.
“Gracing this world with her presence” on June 18, 1960, Molloy was the oldest of seven children born to Joan and Joseph Molloy, her memorial said.

Multiple agencies responded to a "hazmat incident" at a Costco in Westchester County.
Firefighters received a report of smoke in the Costco located in Port Chester at 1 Westchester Ave. at about 2:10 p.m. on Monday, June 20, according to the Port Chester Police Department.
Authorities determined that the smoke wasn't from a fire, but that there was a large freon leak on the second floor of the building, the fire department reported.
The cause of the leak remains under investigation, officials said.

Retired Yankees pitcher and Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera has sold his longtime home in Westchester County.
Rivera and his wife, Clara, unloaded the 13,000 square-foot, nine-bedroom mansion, located in Rye, for $3.783 million, as was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
