A Westchester man will spend more than a decade behind bars after being sentenced for fatally shooting his roommate during an argument, the District Attorney’s Office announced. Mount Vernon Man Charged With Murder For Fatal Shooting Of Area Resident
A Westchester man is facing a murder charge for his role in a fatal weekend shooting of a 23-year-old. Mount Vernon resident Akeem Palmer, 23, was arraigned on a second-degree murder charge after a shooting on Sunday, April 26, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., said. It is alleged that Palmer shot Ryan Solomon on Sunday afternoon at a South Third Avenue residence in Mount Vernon. Solomon suffered a wound to his torso but managed to call 911.
