An alert has been issued by police investigators in Westchester as they attempt to locate and identify an alleged fraudster who posed as a fire chief to bilk employees at an area restaurant. The City of Rye Police Department released photos of a man who walked into Playa Bowls on Purdy Avenue at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, identifying himself as a fire chief in the city. Save The Date: New Acai Fruit Bowl Shop To Open In Hudson Valley A new acai fruit bowl shop will soon open its doors in Rockland County. Playa Bowls will host a grand opening for its new location in Nanuet on Saturday, July 31.  The new shop will be located at 8133 Fashion Drive. Representatives said the grand opening will begin at 11 a.m., and the first 50 customers will receive free t-shirts and bowls. The location will be run by Dan Feder, a local entrepreneur.
