A Northern Westchester native who was a standout athlete in both high school and college has died.
Alison Relyea, who grew up in Briarcliff and graduated in 1992 from the Hackley School in Tarrytown, was 48 years old, according to her obituary.
She died on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Evelyn’s House hospice facility in Creve Coeur, Missouri. For the past 11 years, she lived in Chesterfield, Missouri, her obituary said.
She graduated from Gettysburg College in 1996 and the University of Maryland School of Nursing, where she received her BSN degree, in 1998.

Two men have been arrested for allegedly smashing their car through the front of a Saks Fifth Avenue store and making off with merchandise.
The incident took place in Greenwich around 3:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 2 on Greenwich Avenue.

A popular reporter has died at the age of 44.
ESPN reporter Jeff Dickerson, who covered the Chicago Bears, died on Tuesday, Dec. 28, from complications with colon cancer, according to a report from ESPN.
His wife, Caitlin, died two years ago after years of treatments and complications from melanoma, the news outlet reported.
Dickerson is survived by his parents and his 11-year-old son, Parker.

Albert Whitaker ("Whit") Franzheim of Sarasota, FL died on Friday, May 14. Originally from Wheeling, WV, he was born November 23, 1927, the son of the late Lawrence Woodward Franzheim and Sarah Whitaker Franzheim.
Whit was a graduate of the Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, NJ and Northwestern University in Chicago, IL where he majored in communications and public relations.
