FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Elaine Petrillo, formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the age of 90.
Elaine was born in New York City on May 8, 1924. She graduated from Cathedral High School and shortly after began her career with New York Telephone Co. Elaine continued to work as a manager for Bell South until her retirement in 1991 after 30 years. Elaine was married to her loving husband, Anthony, on June 23, 1945. Elaine and Anthony were married for 65 years, before being predeceased by her husband in 2011.
Elaine is survived by her loving daughter. Susan, and son-in-law, Dr. James Branco; her two granddaughters, Lori and Jennifer; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass was given at her parish church in Plantation, Fla. Elaine will be truly missed by her friends and loving family.
