The county and city agreed to a joint $12.7 million renovation in 2008; the county committed $9.7 million in total, and to date has spent $3.4 million for design and demolition work, but the new mayor at the time, Ernie Davis, wanted to save the stadium and add tennis courts, that were not included in the plan, said Lohud.com.

Now, the city’s newest mayor Richard Thomas, hopes to get the plan back on track after meeting with County Executive Rob Astorino and other Westchester officials, added Lohud.com.
