Scattered Showers, Thunderstorms Will Sweep Through Region Ahead Of Cold Front

A couple of days ahead of the arrival of the remnants of powerhouse storm Ida, a round of scattered showers and thunderstorms will sweep through the region ahead of a cold front.

The time frame for storm activity is late Monday afternoon, Aug. 30 into the evening.

The chance for storms and showers will increase Monday evening.

Locally heavy downpours are possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday's high temperature will climb into the mid 80s with high humidity.

After the cold front pushes through, the final day of August will be partly sunny and less humid on Tuesday, Aug. 31, with a high temperature in the low 80s.
