Lane Closures To Affect Hutchinson River Parkway In Westchester For More Than Month
A scheduled lane closure will affect traffic on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester County for over a month. One lane of the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway between Exit 14 (Route 127) in Harrison and Exit 13 (Mamaroneck Avenue) in Scarsdale will close on weekdays beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 15, according to the New York Department of Transportation. The closure will last between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays through Friday, March 24. The lane closure is to facilitate construction work.

Motorists are being warned that two lanes of a busy road in Westchester County will soon close. Beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 1, two lanes of Westchester Avenue westbound in Port Chester between U.S. Route 1 (North Main Street) and Abendroth Avenue will close between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 6, the New York Department of Transportation announced. Lane Closures Scheduled For Stretch Of Taconic State Parkway In Northern Westchester
The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting motorists about upcoming lane closures on a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway. Single- and double-lane closures are set for the northbound and southbound parkway in Northern Westchester between Exit 16 (Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park) and Exit 20 (US Highway 6) in Yorktown. The closures will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6, and Monday, May 9, to facilitate maintenance activities, the Department of Transportation said on Thursday, May 5.

Storm Ida: NY Thruway Reopens
The New York State Thruway has reopened after immense flooding from Storm Ida closed down the busy roadway for hours through the Hudson Valley. As of 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 2, the Thruway Authority announced that all lanes are now open on I-87 south between exit 14 and exit 12. Two lanes are open northbound - the right lane remains closed at exit 12 due to flooding. Delays exist from ponding water and traffic. The roadway had been closed for hours in Rockland and Westchester County due to heavy flooding. State Police say motorists should use caution.

One person was injured after separate crashes in Northern Westchester. The first crash took place around 8:30 a.m., Thursday, March 4, in Briarcliff Manor when a vehicle stopped on Route 9A on the Route 100 overpass causing a second vehicle to hit a guardrail, and then a third car hit the second vehicle, said the Briarcliff Manor Police.
