Serious Crash Closes Route 9 Stretch In Hudson Valley (Developing) A stretch of Route 9 in the Hudson Valley is closed as the result of a serious crash. The crash, which happened on Friday, Jan. 17 around 1:45 p.m. in Putnam County, has left Route 9 closed in Garrison in the area of Old Highland Turnpike, the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services announced.  Police and first responders are operating in the area. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes. The road will remain closed for an "extended period of time," officials said. This is a developing story. I-684 Reopens After 2 Tractor Trailers Jack-Knife, Leave Roadway In Northern Westchester Part of Interstate 684 in Northern Westchester has cleared following a crash involving two jack-knifed tractor-trailers.  The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 16 at around 6 a.m., when two tractor-trailers were involved in a crash on I-684 northbound in North Castle, according to New York State Police. The two vehicles jack-knifed and went off the roadway as a result of the wintery weather, police said. Luckily, no injuries were reported. The interstate is now open to traffic.
