Two Dogs Rescued, Dozens Displaced After Fire Breaks Out At Apartment Complex In Westchester Dozens of people have been displaced after a two-alarm fire broke out at an apartment complex in Westchester on Saturday. The blaze at 137 Hawthorne Ave. in Yonkers, a four-story building, began around 2:45 p.m. with first-arriving fire units being met by a large volume of fire from a first-floor apartment, said Daniel P. Flynn of the Yonkers Fire Department. The fire quickly spread to the second-floor apartment directly above, with minor spreads to the third- and fourth-floor apartments directly above, Flynn said.
