Santa Claus is coming to Yorktown this weekend, and he’s bringing a host of road closures for the annual Holiday Lights parade. New Bear Sightings Reported, Starting In Northern Westchester
It started out with a report of a black bear perched in a tree in Yorktown around noontime on Friday. The bear then fled the scene at Hanover Street almost as soon as Daily Voice posted a news alert. A reader then reported seeing it a short time later near Jennifer's Restaurant on Route 118. Two Injured In Route 129 Crash
This story has been updated. A stretch of Route 129 in Yorktown was closed following a serious two-vehicle crash with injuries that occurred during the Monday morning commute.
