Motorist In Taconic Parkway Chase Arrested At His Home, State Police Say A man was arrested at his home after initially eluding state troopers in a chase on the Taconic State Parkway. The chase happened on Friday, May 22 in East Fishkill. At approximately 10:30 a.m. troopers attempted to conduct a stop on a 2006 Dodge Charger for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill.  The operator of the vehicle failed to comply, and led the state police on a pursuit that ended at his home in Orange County in Rock Tavern.  The driver, Robert DiGregrio, 29, a Rock Tavern resident, was charged him …

Hudson Valley Company Will Repair Charging Bull Damaged In Attack On Wall Street, Report Says A Hudson Valley foundry has been tasked with repairing the iconic Wall Street Charging Bull statue after a man from Texas went on a rampage during an anti-Donald Trump rant. Rock Tavern-based Polich Tallix, the Orange County company that makes the Oscars statuette, has been hired to fix the statue, which has extensive damage near the right horn of the charging bull. The damage is expected to cost upwards of $15,000, according to the Wall Street Journal. Nypd Detective Found Dead In Hudson Valley An NYPD detective reportedly fatally shot himself at an Orange County bar this past weekend, according to multiple reports. Nicholas Budney’s body was found outside of Billy Joe’s Ribwork’s in Newburgh on Sunday, the reports state. He worked with emergency service for the NYPD in the Bronx prior to his apparent suicide. According to reports, Budney, 36, shot himself the night before but his body wasn’t found until Sunday by an employee.
