Latimer Showcases Reinvigorated Prisoner Culinary Program
A dozen inmates at the Westchester County Jail were recently honored for graduating from a five-week culinary training program. "In2Work," is a food service training program that teaches inmates kitchen basics and safe food handling as part of a program offered by Westchester County Department of Corrections team in partnership with Aramark, said Westchester County officials. Pace University Criminal Justice Professor Kim Collica-Cox won a prestigious national Jefferson Award for outstanding public service. She was honored for her innovative animal-assisted therapy program which helps to heal mothers incarcerated at the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla. Latimer Picks Two New Commissioners To Oversee Westchester County Jail
Westchester County Executive George Latimer named Joseph K. Spano as Commissioner and Louis A. Molina as First Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Corrections during a Thursday news conference in White Plains.
