Community Rallies For Teen Who Tried To Defend Friend In Fatal Northern Westchester Stabbing A Northern Westchester community is rallying around a local family whose son was stabbed trying to protect his friend who was killed during the attack. Alex Leon, 18, of Peekskill, was severely injured on Saturday, Nov. 28, attempting to defend and protect his friend Joaquin Salazar who died from his injuries. Leon, who is the son of Franki Leon, the owner of Franki's Grill in Croton on Hudson, was also stabbed.
