Alleged Crime Family Member From Hawthorne Charged With Racketeering
Alleged members of the Genovese Organized Crime Family from Westchester and Fairfield counties are facing racketeering charges for their roles within the organization.
Federal prosecutors announced that four members and two associates of the family have been charged with racketeering conspiracy involving illegal gambling and extortion.
Those charged in Manhattan federal court:

Port Chester Native, Former CBS Employee Christine Lo Parco Dies At 95
Christine Lo Parco, 95, died Saturday, March 30, in Boca Raton Community Hospital after falling ill the day before.
She leaves her sister, Nancy Caminiti of Port Chester and several nieces and nephews and many friends. Her husband, John Lo Parco died in 2007. Another sister, Carmela Scafa of Port Chester and brothers Louis and Patrick preceded her in death.

Mort Walker, the creator of the popular cartoon strips "Beetle Bailey" and "Hi and Lois," died Saturday at his home in Stamford.
