Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Northern Westchester Crash An investigation is underway after a man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Northern Westchester. It happened just before 3:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10 on Bear Mountain Bridge Road in the town of Cortlandt in the area of the scenic overlook. An initial investigation revealed a 2008 Honda motorcycle headed eastbound operated by Matthew J. Milicic Jr., age 66, of Newark Valley, New York in Tioga County, entered the westbound lane for unknown reasons and struck an oncoming 2020 Honda sedan, according to state police. Roadwork Alert: Route 6/202 Weekday Closures Starts In Northern Westchester A stretch of Route 6/Route 202 will be closed for several days in Westchester as crews continue maintenance work in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert warning that from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 28, the roadway will be closed between Route 9D at the Bear Mountain Bridge and Route 9 (Annsville Circle) in Cortlandt.  The closures are expected to last through Thursday, Aug. 30.
