DOT Proposes Replacing Bridge On Route 34 In Monroe MONROE, Conn. -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting about a proposed rehabilitation of the Route 34 bridge over Boys Half Way Brook. The meeting will take place on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Monroe Town Hall, 7 Fan Hill Road. The meeting will allow open discussion of all views and comments from the community on the proposed project.  The project would consist of replacing the bridge's existing concrete slab with a new reinforced concrete slab. The slab replacement would be performed using signal-controlled alternating one-way traffic operations.…
