Mount Pleasant's Westlake High Congratulates Its AP scholars

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y.-- Westlake High School took time to congratulate 42 students in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement exams taken in May.

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performance on the exams:

  • 2013 graduate Robert Hutnik won the National AP Scholar Award for earning a grade of 4 or higher (out of 5) on eight or more exams.
  • 2013 graduates Michelle Charest, Laura Eng, Rowan Epstein, Robert Hutnik, Jean Seo and Lianna Walsh were honored with the AP Scholar With Distinction award for earning a 3 or higher on five or more exams.
  • 2013 graduates Matthew Buckley, Kaitlin Damico, Elizabeth Gottlieb, Paola Morocho, Basil Mundackal and current seniors Peter Anastasiou, Garo Bedonian, Andrew Chellis, Laura Gardner, Joshin George, Conor Glendon, Thomas Leo and Sean Siry were all given the AP Scholar With Honor Award for earning grades of 3 or higher on four or more exams.
  • Westlake's AP Scholars Award-winners for Completing three or more AP Exams with grades of 3 or higher were: 2013 Graduates Marie Abate, Georgia Doulos, Caitlyn Doyle, Thomas Hopkins, Jillian Kaplan, Michael McLynn, Samantha November, Christopher Puma, Nitasha Roy, Andrea Sore, Maurice Studer, Elizabeth Sweeny, Joshua Yamuder and current seniors: Pooja Aier, Valerie Carozza, Victoria Diamond, Francesca DiLapi, Christopher Forella, Emily Pisano, Donna Romandetto, Youssef Sabha, Jake Schwartz, and Julia Specht.
