When Astorino files his required fundraising reports at the end of January, he is expected to claim at least $1,035,564 raised in the past six months, according to a statement from his campaign, which said that The Friends of Astorino account has received 1,178 donations in total with a median of about $125.
“I’m enormously grateful for all of the donations we have received from people who continue to believe in our message of smart, effective government,” Astorino said in the statement. “We have worked hard to deliver results for people without raising taxes, and they are clearly responding by contributing to our cause. This is a team effort and I couldn’t do it without such steadfast, loyal supporters.”
Astorino, who is seeking a third-term in the executive's chair, is up for re-election in November. While his opponent remains unclear, Westchester County Legislator Ken Jenkins of Yonkers has expressed his intent to earn the Democratic Party's nomination.
