Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Cell Doc at approximately 4 p.m. on Oct. 8, where there was a complaint of a woman who had stolen an iPhone X with a value of $900.
According to police, on Oct. 12, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office notified investigators in Yorktown that they had a suspect, Putnam Valley Tracey Hurtz, in custody who allegedly had the stolen iPhone. Officers met with members of the Sheriff’s Office and Hurtz was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of petit larceny.
Following her arraignment, Hurtz was released from Yorktown Police Headquarters on $100 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Nov. 15 to answer the charge.
