Around 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, Yorktown Police responded to a domestic incident at a local residence. The investigation revealed that Robert Brook and a victim were involved in a verbal dispute.

During the argument, Brook allegedly damaged property in the residence before fleeing the scene before officers arrived, police said.

A short time later, police conducted a traffic stop and arrested Brook. Brook was transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor.

Judge Gary Raniolo issued an Order of Protection for the victim. The defendant was released upon his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Feb. 7.
