HAWTHORNE, N.Y. - JoAnn Palmieri of Hawthorne died Aug. 31. She was 69.
Palmieri was born May 23, 1944, in Mt. Vernon, to Joseph and Mary Barnaba. She lived in Hawthorne since 1969. She worked for Sunburst Communications in Pleasantville for 23 years.
Palmieri is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Richard (Dawn) of Patterson; daughter, Vikki (Dean) Hansen of Pleasantville; five grandchildren; brother, Nicholas Barnaba of Mahopac; sister, Brenda (David) Swartz of Valhalla; best friends, Roseanne Sorby of Hawthorne and Betsy Purdy of Fishkill. She was deceased by her parents.
Calling hours are Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at the Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
