A 23-year-old woman from Westchester is facing charges for allegedly attempting to bring synthetic marijuana into a state prison, police said.
Yonkers resident Jazmine Harden was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Gouverneur Correctional Facility in upstate New York when she was busted attempting to bring drugs into the facility.
Police said that a Department of Corrections and Community Supervision canine alerted officers to a bag Harden brought into the prison, which contained an unspecified amount of synthetic marijuana.
Harden was arrested and charged with introducing prison contraband, a felony. She was also cited for violating the state’s sanitary code. Following her arraignment, Harden was released on $100 bail and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
