"The Beast" is the nickname for the presidential limousine and it will be on display once again starting around 6 p.m. as the president makes his way from Westchester County Airport to the Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills for the wedding of his personal chef, Sam Kass, and MSNBC talk show host Alex Wagner.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns is on Route 448 in between routes 9 and 117 and the area will have a heavy police presence and possible road closures as "The Beast" makes its way into town.
"The Beast," custom made by General Motors off the design of the Cadillac DTS. Its exterior design is a hybrid of several Cadillac models, including the Escalade and STS Sedan.
It is heavily protective with "armor plating said to be 8 inches thick and its doors weigh as much as those on a Boeing 757 aircraft," according to leftlanenews.com. It can seat up to seven people.
The estimated cost of "The Beast" is $300,000.
