The unidentified Westchester County couple was staying at the Crown Plaza Hotel on Summer Street in Stamford after being displaced from their home during last week's nor'easter, said Stamford Police Sgt. Brian Butler.
When their fighting caused an issue with other guests, the manager of the hotel called the police to intervene, Butler said.
The couple, who had been drinking, told officers they were sick of each other after spending so much time together in the hotel, Butler said.
They avoided being arrested by agreeing to move to another hotel for the night, Butler said.
The couple's place of residence in Westchester was not released.
Because they had been drinking police gave them a ride, he added.
