Pleasantville Enters State of Emergency

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pleasantville Mayor Peter Scherer declared that Pleasantville is under a state of emergency as of 2 p.m. Saturday, via a statement released by Village Administrator Patricia Dwyer.

The statement posted on the village website says the village will remain in the state of emergency until revoked by Scherer. All public parks have been closed and public roads may be closed in the near future.

The village will institute its emergency operations center Saturday at 9 p.m. for all emergency services. The village advises residents call 911 for emergencies only and all other inquiries may be made to the police dispatch office at 914-769-1500.
