According to the Con Edison Outage Map, as of 10 a.m. on Thursday, there were 3,404 outages reported, affecting 31,549 Con Edison customers were out of the 3,323,537 the organization services.
An additional 18,165 of NYSEG’s 32,806 Westchester customers are also without power. In total, 49,714 in the county remain without power, with services to be restored by 11 p.m. on Friday, officials said.
Before the latest storm, about 10,500 were without power early Wednesday morning in Westchester, meaning about 35,000 new outages can be attributed to the latest Nor'easter.
Thousands of out-of-state contractors have arrived since the storm to assist Con Edison crews in recovery efforts over the past week, following a pair of powerful storm that has felled trees and left downed power lines throughout the tri-state area. Dozens of roads remain closed in the region as crews continue clean-up efforts.
Among the areas hardest hit include Cortlandt, where 2,795 customers reported outages, New Rochelle (2,373 customers), Yonkers (1,983), Scarsdale (1,678) and Greenburgh (1,562).
