Pelham resident Joseph Francis III was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 20 following an incident at the Solaris Sports Club in Yorktown at 201 Veterans Rd., Yorktown Police announced on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
According to the department, just before 7 p.m., multiple callers told police that a man was screaming at people and threatening them at a basketball game held at the club. Officers soon arrived at the scene and found Francis allegedly engaging in "threatening and disruptive behavior," police said.
The department also added that Francis allegedly "intentionally obstructed and interfered with" officers' efforts to restore order.
After his arrest, Francis was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. He was later released on his own recognizance and will appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Nov. 7.
